AFFECTED BY THE CORONAVIRUS? GET HELP AND FIND RESOURCES TODAY.

In Southeastern Michigan, 44 percent of families struggle to afford their basic needs. One minor issue can create a major financial hardship. As COVID-19 continues to impact our communities, these families are particularly in danger. One missed paycheck can be catastrophic.

United Way is here to help. Since the pandemic began, we’ve distributed nearly $27 million to partner organizations to bolster their responses to the virus. We’ve listed links to helpful resources below. And, as always, our 2-1-1 helpline is available by phone, text or live chat 24 hours a day to connect people with the resources they need in times of crisis.

REQUEST FUNDS

At this time, we are not accepting new applications for funding through the COIVD-19 Community Response Fund. Please submit COVID-19 response related inquiries to COVIDFUND@UnitedWaySEM.org

Since launching the Fund in March, we have awarded more than 650 COVID-19 rapid response grants to organizations in our region. These grants support frontline services in the health and social service sectors, child care providers, and efforts to ensure students have the tools they need to continue to learn during the pandemic.
